It was on Saturday inside a city of Mombasa,of which I was with my sister loitering around the city looking for a best Salon in the city. On our way, we recognized that there was a salon just on the opposite side of the road with a lot of cars parked on its parking yard.
My sister was very anxious to enter the salon and enjoy the services given to the since there were so many people. As we entered the salon,we were welcomed by a lady who later directed as on what to do.I was told find a sit on waiting bay as they were working on my sister’s dreadlocks .
I sat next to Man who was also waiting for his wife.He started asking some funny questions like “Why is it even there’s no music played in this salon and yet people are very happy and in same case in barbershop there’s music played and yet customers seem to be silent?”.
It took some minutes for me to respond to the question. And my response was” since women like gossiping, that’s why you can’t hear music played in a salon”.
Funniest thing is that, as we were talking, one lady who we thought was one of the salon workers came with a basin full of water and detergents on the other hand. She told us to remove our shoes so that she could be able to wash our feets.
We did it as we were directed. As she was washing our feets, we could hear some noise coming on other side of the salon like they were murmuring on how we were behaving during the service.
After sometimes, my sister came out with an impressive hairstyle and I stood and said goodbye to the man. The man was so quiet and didn’t respond since his wife has not came out. He decided to go for his wife himself and what he find out was shocking. Just imagine his wife was sitting with other women gossiping on how men behave nowadays. And he declared that he will never accompany his wife again to go to a salon.
