1. REFLECT ON MALE EXPERIENCES IN MODERN SOCIETY
– Being a man currently means dealing with old ideas and current changes. In the past men were admonished to be strong, always docile and quiet but now things are different.
These changes are:
✓ At home many men help in cooking, cleaning, and raising kids things which used to be women task.
✓ Men are learning to talk about their feelings and ask for help currently not like part days.
✓ Apart from job, men still need happiness, purpose and peace.
✓ Online men can find support, but also some bad messages that make them feel angry or perplexed.
Overall, being a man nowadays means figuring out your way not just following old rules , but becoming self absorbed .
2. CHALLENGE STEREOTYPES AND ENCOURAGE HONEST DIALOGUE
– For many times men have been regarded as those who don’t cry, or real me don’t talk. These impede men from tabling their problems, which sometimes make life more harder.
– These are the way forward:
• As a man be yourself.
• As a man be quick to listen but slow to reaction.
• As a man speak honestly.
• As a man have good companies which can help you in hard times.
3. EXAMPLES: ” WHAT MEN ARE NOT SAYING ABOUT FATHERHOOD.”
– These are things men often say Being Father.
✓ They miss their freedom and old life.
✓ They conceal their emotions because they want to look strong.
✓ They worry about being a Role Model.
✓ They sometimes feel overwhelmed and stressed.
✓ They feel guilty when parenting becomes hard.
4. PRESSURE TO PROVIDE IS KILLING OUR MENTAL HEALTH.
– Many men feel trapped by the need to provide causing stress and anxiety.
– Fear of not meeting expectations leads to shame and silence.
– Men rarely seek help due to stigma and lack of support.
All these silence is harming mental health but it’s treatable when we open talk, support, and care.
5. MEN AND MONEY: HOW WE MEASURE OUR WORTH IN SILENCE.
– Men often equate financial success with identity and masculinity.
– Possession and status mask deeper insecurities.
– Economic struggle is seen as a personal failure, harming self- esteem.
– True worth lies in character, connection,and mental peace not Income.
– Silent pressure to provide leads to anxiety, shame, and emotional suppressions.
