In today’s busy world, it’s very easy for women to lose themselves while trying to balance family, work and even relationships. Therefore, personal growth is very important to women in this modern society. It helps them to rediscover themselves for example their potential, their strength, purpose and happiness. With proper direction, women can achieve big goals that they set and while taking a step at a time, it’s possible to remain in good shape.
Personal growth is not about being perfect because no one is really perfect, it’s about becoming the best version of oneself, being open minded, confident and independent. A lot of women tend to put others before themselves and in return forgetting about their personal needs and this becomes draining. A healthy mind and body is very important to women because it helps them to face their challenges fearlessly.
One of the biggest challenges facing women today is the balancing between personal growth and societal gender dynamics for example, a working mother in a matatu economy. Many women are faced with such challenges that they have to maintain it all and get the job done. They’re expected to excel at work and still nurture their homes.
However , there are hidden stories that many women never have the chance to talk about because they tend to think that it’s better to remain untold. This is how they end up silencing their own dreams so as to avoid being too demanding or asking for too much.
Many young women tend to dim their lights in order to be ‘wife materials’ all for societal approval which later turn out to be one of the biggest regrets especially when they fail to tap into their full potential. When such women begin to share such stories,they tend to talk about personal struggles,regrets and even feel wasted.
They begin to challenge the societal norms whereby they feel like it’s not as important to become a wife material as the society keeps it.
It’s very important to give women the chance to express themselves freely and fearlessly because they’re going through a lot to be able to fit into the society. It would be good to support the women and help them achieve their bold dreams so as to build greater tomorrow.
